Iain Lee graced the screens of Good Morning Britain viewers this morning, where he discussed the latest entertainment news.
After a ten-year absence, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire returned this weekend with brand new presenter Jeremy Clarkson of former Top Gear fame.
The original run of the gameshow began in 1998 and was presented by broadcaster Chris Tarrant.
However, Iain soon wrinkled up his face and revealed what he really thought about the new show.
He said: “I don’t get why they’ve not asked Chris Tarrant.
“It’s probably some internal ITV politics that the suits don’t want us to know about.”
While presenters Kate Garroway and Ranvir Singh defended the recasting, Iain continued to blast the decision.
“Tarrant is still alive, isn’t he? He should be hosting it!
“I think he is great. And he IS Who Wants to be a Millionaire.”
He went on to discuss the new presenter, saying: “I don’t buy the Clarkson myth.
When a question about motoring popped up in the gameshow, player David joked about asking his host.
However, he then shockingly decided to use the phone a friend lifeline, snubbing Jeremy.
One fan on Twitter wrote: “Best player so far. Great partnership between Jeremy & Sailor man.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? continues tomorrow on ITV at 9pm.
